As the Head of Curriculum, my areas of responsibility are predominantly based around what we learn (curriculum) and how we can best learn it (professional development for teachers to ensure best practice.)
I am responsible for implementing Education Queensland reforms, including new ACARA documents and initiatives. I provide professional development for teachers, teacher aides and student teachers on a regular basis.
Working with teachers to provide the best and most appropriate curriculum resources for the students of this school is the most rewarding and enjoyable part of my responsibilities.
My role as this school's Learning Manager for the students of the Central Queensland University's Bachelor of Learning Management program ensures that the students are able to apply in practical settings, the theory they are bringing to our school from university.
