We look forward to welcoming parents and carers to our school for the start of the school year. We understand that the first days of the school year are significant and meaningful ones for students and we want to ensure that parents and carers have the opportunity to share this special time with their children. This sets the foundation for a long and positive engagement with their education and our school community.
When entering the school grounds we ask that all parents and carers abide by our COVID Safe Plan which is a requirement of Education Queensland. This is outlined below. We are regularly reviewing this plan in compliance with the Health Department's directives.
Tewantin State School COVID Safe Plan
'COVID normal' health practices apply to all adults on school sites. These include physical distancing between adults, not exceeding occupant density limits for rooms, staying home if sick and regular COVID-safe hygiene measures.
- Please see COVID Classroom Procedures poster.
- We have been advised that there is no need to obtain parents' and carers' contact details, as these are already recorded in OneSchool and can be used for contact tracing by Queensland Health if needed.
- All other visitors (Not parents or carers) need to adhere to COVID School Plan for visitors and sign-in at the office.
