Parent involvement in the education of our students is strongly encouraged, and parental representation is valued.

There is an opportunity for everyone to become involved in education at this school. Communication with parents occurs frequently through regular newsletters, parent sessions, formal reporting, parent-teacher interviews, school activities and the Parents and Citizens' Association.

A warm invitation is extended to parents to participate in the activities of the school. The school takes an interest in and cares about parents and children at Tewantin State School.

P&C meetings are held twice per term on a Thursday morning, from 9.00 am, in the Head of Curriculum (HOC) room. While we aim for the first Thursday of each month, dates are often planned around upcoming events and specific dates can be found on the school app and newsletter.

The P&C is also responsible for a number of fundraisers each year including discos, raffles, celebration events and the annual Spring fair.
