Swimming

​​As part of the QLD curriculum, all students in Prep - Year 6 particpate in a school swimming program. Students swim in Terms 1 and 4. 

The aims of the swimming program are as follows:

  • to increase water confidence
  • to develop water safety
  • to develop basic strokes.
  • to develop skills for survival swimming.

Lessons are conducted on site at our Tewantin State School pool.

Swimming is a compulsory component of primary school curriculum.

Students in Years 3 - 6 take part in swimming carnivals during term 4.

Noosa District Primary Schools representative swim carnival occurs during Term 1.
