At Tewantin State School we believe in creating succesful, happy Prep Transitions. We do this through a comprehensive Transition program, focused on strong relationships, incorporating play based activities with school tours, morning and afternoon tea's and our Step in to Prep Transiton program in Term 4, including our Flying Start interviews.
Flying Start interviews are held with every enrolled Prep student and their parent/s. These interviews are an integral part of our program and allow us to meet each future student and their family face to face prior to commencing at Tewantin State School. Flying Start interviews give our team the best possible information to help form classes, ensuring the best start for your little one.
We believe in building lasting relationships with our future learners before they start school. We work closely with kindergartens and childcare centres within our community, ensuring many opportunities for school visits, information sessions, school tours, play dates and open days.
Kindergartens and Childcare centres within our community form part of our Tewantin Community Prep Transition team, working towards achieving a common goal-set that will benefit our future Tewantin SS Preppies.
Our next event for 2022 Preps and their families is our Introduction to Prep Afternoon Tea, Open to all future Prep families who would like to learn more about our approach to learning and creating successful Prep transitions.
